Caitlin Boyle is a documentary film producer and impact producer—and a leading expert in navigating independent film distribution through the lens of social impact and audience engagement.
Caitlin has worked with a wide range of nonprofit and corporate collaborators and clients, including Together Films, Cinereach, Level Forward, Common Pictures, Sundance Institute, NEON, Magnolia Films, Patagonia, Timberland and The Climate Pledge, in addition to more than 500 independent film teams.
She participates regularly as a panelist, speaker and juror at film festivals and filmmaker support organizations, including SXSW, DOC NYC, RIDM, Camden, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Docudays, Chicken & Egg Pictures, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Film Independent, Filmshop, The Gotham, Impact Partners, the New York Foundation for the Arts and UnionDocs.
Caitlin’s past work has included roles as Executive Director of Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival; Director of Filmmaker Development and Director of Industry at DOC NYC; and, for ten years, Founder and Executive Director of Film Sprout, which pioneered the use of grassroots and campus networks to broaden the audience and social impact of independent film.
After a dozen years in New York City, she now lives in rural Vermont with her family.
